Established in 1993, the Tucson Community Tennis Program is a non-profit organization bringing free tennis to elementary, middle school, and high school children. We have 3 distinct programs: In-School, Saturday, and Summer Camp.
TCTP's focus is on multi-cultural schools in Tucson's inner city, where funding is too limited to provide physical education instructors. Our programs create an environment where young people are introduced to the lifelong sport of tennis and are given opportunities to learn, within their neighborhoods, the basic motor skills and inherent "life" values of the game.
This past school year (2016-2017), over 600 children (ages 5 - 18) participated in our 3 programs and our volunteers donated over 1300 hours helping kids learn the "life" game of tennis.
